I think Nate killed Maya. This is what I think happened and why I know it’s him:

As I was saying before, it has to be true. Basically he has been super sketchy, coming into the show saying they were cousins. But yet he knows crazy specific details about her, and has multiple clues of seeing her before she died. He also has no proof of being cousins. He made excuses about why he can’t contact her parents..

So I think he killed her because she ran away from him. She had said multiple times she was afraid of someone and has to “face her fears”. I think Nate kept trying to get close to her-from evidence of her talking about her True North stalker. So she hid out at Noel’s cabin, but Nate found her and killed her.

That night we know that Jenna and Noel were at the Kahn’s cabin. This is where Maya got grabbed. Jenna was pretending to be blind that night, and someone like Nate would have thought she was. And maybe she was around and saw, but he didn’t know she did. So she knows he killed Maya, but can’t say anything.

This would explain her “fear of somebody”, and having to pretend to be blind to “protect herself”- because if Nate found out she wasn’t blind, he would know she saw him kill Maya.

So Nate thinks she has no idea it’s him, so he tries to get close to her so that she doesn’t suspect it’s him. But Jenna doesn’t want anything to do with him because she knows what’s happened.

Now Nate’s trying to come onto Emily, and gets upset when she rejects him. Talking about how “Maya used to do the same thing”, when in reality I just think she did that to him. That’s why he killed her. And now he’s so upset with Emily acting that way, even thought he should know she’s gay.

So now he finds out that Jenna has been pretending to be blind. He tells her, and Jenna knows exactly what he means by “I know you saw me”. Now she’s afraid because she’s a witness, and Nate knows it.

So Jenna goes to Emily telling her to “be careful who she spends time with”, everyone thinks she means Paige, but by the looks of it, she means Nate. 

Then we see Jenna leave town with a bag and everything-obviously because she thinks Nate’s going to come after her.

And now in the next episode we know Emily is seen with blood all over her hands-because I believe Nate tries to kill her next. It all makes sense.
